And I strongly believe that many of the right-thinking viewers could decipher that our Information Minister Shabery Cheek was ill-equipped with information regarding the whole issue in contention and resorted to unethical, unprofessional behaviour by using the debate platform to make personal attacks on Anwar.
It seemed as though Shabery Cheek was a pawn of the BN govt. to spearhead a smear campaign on Anwar. Perhaps, his post should be changed to propaganda minister!
Analysing the entire debate, I agree with Anwar's point that the IPP agreements should be reviewed and I also believe that a ‘windfall tax’ should be imposed on the IPPs.
It was also pretty obvious that Shabery did not answer the question on what are the steps taken by the government to improve public transportation in Malaysia, especially in the urban areas but chose to make more personal attacks on DSAI.
Kudos again to DSAI for highlighting the problems of diesel smuggling in the country. It was also very enlightening to hear DSAI suggesting that RM1 billion be taken from the special dividend given by Petronas to the government to subsidise petrol price.
DSAI also made an excellent point on the need for good governance, which is vital for the economy of any country. The mandate given to the government is sacrosanct and in exchange the government must govern with the welfare of the people in mind for every single move that they make.
It is the government's responsibility to ensure that there is low corruption, low wastage and prudent management of the country's multitude of resources.
In another update:
Anwar was arrested today. And from a propaganda newspaper source, it says that:
"Federal CID director Comm Datuk Bakri Zinin said Anwar was supposed to have gone directly to the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters immediately after giving his statement to the ACA in Putrajaya.
"He was arrested as we had reason to believe he was not going to show up," he claimed."
I hate this: he was arrested before the 2.00pm grace time and the uber stupid police says that they arrest him because they think that there's a probability that he wont show up at their KL HQ. Bukannye meletop pon Hq tu kalau dia tak datang, tak sabar tol diorang ni. And yes, what do you think?
All the government, the asshole Shabery Cheek, the police, including this little boy who claims that he was being bitched by a person 30-years older than him, is really a complete idiot.
Yeah, last week, I went to an unplanned vacation with Afiq, Mereng and Wan to Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. Places we went:
- Muar & Tanjung Agas, Johor
- Masjid Al-Azim, Melaka
- A'Famosa Resort, Melaka
- Lubok China, Melaka
- Alor Gajah, Melaka
- Tanjung Tuan, Melaka (hey, it's on Melaka la. Do your history)
- Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan
- Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
and finally
- Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur
We went by Afiq's Myvi because my mom was using the car for a trip to Pahang I think. Here are my comments:
- There is no other stupid name to put on a highway other than 'Lebuh AMJ'.
- I went through 11 roadblocks in total.
- I'm beginning to like MyVi.
- Bandar Muar's road is like Penang. Damn menyusahkan.
- Last month's nostalgia tells me something while I was passing through the traffic light junction near to Raihan's house. Oh wait.. :D (to her: remember? remember? remember?)
- 50% shoplots near the Lubok China was razed for some new development. Very sad. When I was there's the fire was still there.
- A'Famosa WaterWorld is boring. If you've planned to have your break there, pick another place.
- There was one slide at the Water World called 'High Speed'. I went though two rounds of it and didnt die :D (just like my first perception told me)
- Simpang Ampat was really a... simpang empat interchange. Full of cars and lorries. So much boredom.
- Toll from Ayer Keroh till Simpang Ampat costs RM3.70. What the cekik-darahism.
- Tanjung Tuan needs more tourists. MOAR MOAR TOURISTS!!
- I hugged a live tiger xD
And yes, pictures section.
This little elephant made my day. He was like, a happy-go-lucky little beast. Damn he was dancing while greeting the visitors. I wish I could murder this little elephant on my own.
In the other hand, I felt pity for them. After last 2 months tingling around with Zoo Negara and the director, I learnt alot about nature conservation. Yes, this thing made a Zoo Negara a Zoo Negara, a place without animal circus.
At the carnival. I realized that 75% of the dancers are not in their original female form. Menyampah gila.. Teruk tul. Budget lawa je mekap tebal2. Tak takut ke azab Allah?
Another shot from the carnival. Feels like I'm not in Malaysia xD.
Finally :D
Sempadan Daerah Melaka Tengah while on the Lebuh AMK
Where to go? Bandar Melaka or Masjid Tanah?
And.. here are some sots from the Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado) visit. I wish I could have a normal camera.. the scenery was soo damn breathtaking :)
