Penang trip! I love Penang!

Splendid. One word that defines the excitement of me there. Penang is the most unique city I've ever seen in the whole Malaysia. The rapid growing city with great economical potential plus the breathtaking scenery of the beaches and nature makes the powerful duo of turning Penang into a beautiful island.

My trip starts after Christmas, when my dad unexpectedly announce the trip. It's not an ordinary trip, it's a trip of me, my dad and my makcik only. My mom will reside in the habitatc arefully scouting for school preparations for my little brother and sister. The journey started at 9.00pm, moving slowly from Selayang. My dad drives the car super fast on the highway, with a maximum speed of 175KM/h. That results of we arriving Penang earlier then we expected. Four hours of journey (1/2 hour we spent on the Sungai Perak R&R). We eventually lost our way after arriving on the island, settled after a called made by my makcik after 20 minutes of driving pointlessly.

We stayed on our pakcik's house, which is located at Taman Pekaka. My last trip here was two years back. Things changed a bit here. After 10 minutes of chatting with them, we slept. The next morning saw us busy preparing for the Hari Raya Aidiladha prayers. We prayed at Universiti Sains Malaysia's Masjid. The khutbah was like, very very long, and I was like, "Bilela khutbah ni nak abes..". What makes the khutbah long was the language used in the khubah. There were three language used. First, the imam recites in Malay. Then, he started blabbering in Arabic and followed by the translation in English. After prayers, we went straight home (actually not so straight, because we have to use the longer route because of the traffic jam), transformed our clothes from prayer mode to jalan mode, and went to the biggest shopping mall in Penang. I forgot what was the name already. the shopping was very very large, but it's not as large as the One Utama. Once we entered the mall, our first perception proves us wrong. "Aik? shopping mall besar.. tapi kedai sikit. hampeh je.." The largest mall there was the Jaya Jusco. After 1 and a 1/2 hour scouting for nothing, we changed our target to the Bukit Jambul mall. At least we bought something from the Bukit Jambul mall, which is, my shoe!. We couldn't find one in the megamall. Just look at my feet, it's humoungous!. We went back with full of tiredness face in my pakciks and makciks' face. Pity them. At least I got my shoe xD.

Our second day saw us visiting the Tanjung City Marina, the biggest marina on Penang. I'm surprised that my pakcik is the Captain/Manager of the well-known marina. His office was like, very large. Larger than my room, at least. I snapped a lot of pictures on the marina. After that, we went straight to Penang Butterfly Farm. There were lots of butterflies out there!. And there also houses the crazy collections of butterflies around the globe lucky t-shirt and a batik shirt changed their ownership to. A me. We went back to Ferringhi and dashed our way to Gurney Drive, where we spent 1 hour there shopping. We eventually lost our car's position there, but luckily, I snapped a picture of the parking floor before we proceed. On the night, we spent our day roving Teluk Bahang's pasar malam. Gosh! there's lots of foreigners there!. The DVD sold there was far too cheap T________T. RM4 per disc is too cheap, very very cheap if compared from KL's one. After that comes the best part of the trip. My cousin drives the Wira 1.6 to the Teluk Bahang - Balik Pulau Road. We eventually met some of nice Lancers and decided to follow them drifting. Yeah, we drifts the car like hell. We arrived on our pakcik's house around 1am.

We surveyed the Pasar Kutu on the next morning. LOL! There's lots of unusual stuffs sold there. Antic guitars, old coins and even toiletteries @@. The parking was hard to find, we spent almost 10 minutes searching for one. We went back to the house and relaxed until night. Our journey back takes 4 hours also. Hey, we could've arrive earlier, precisely, in 3 hours. My dad chose to exit at the Slim River exit.

We had super fun there. Penang will definitely be the choice of my honeymoon, which is, for another nine years, anyone?

Till then.
